How it works

A fish market that cooks for you

In Italy, the neighborhood fish market often doubles as a restaurant. We brought that tradition to Naples: you’re in charge of what’s on your plate.

  1. Fish, prawns and lobster on ice in the display at La Pescheria
    01

    Choose your fish

Walk up to the display and pick from the day’s whole fish and shellfish on ice. Your server will tell you what’s best tonight.

  2. A whole fish baked with cherry tomatoes and olives, ready to be served
    02

    Choose how it’s cooked

    • Alla grigliaSimply grilled, with a mixed green salad
    • In crosta di saleBaked in a sea-salt crust, with spinach
    • Al fornoBaked with potatoes, black olives and cherry tomatoes
  3. 03

    Deboned at your table

When it’s ready, your fish is brought out whole and filleted tableside. No butter, no cream, and everything cooked to order, so settle in, pour a glass and take your time.

“Chi dorme non piglia pesci.”Those who sleep don’t catch any fish.

Our family

From the Neri family, a few doors down from Molto

La Pescheria comes from the Neri family, the same family behind Molto Trattoria just up 5th Avenue South. We opened La Pescheria to bring Naples the kind of seafood market-restaurant you find all over Italy.

Francesca Neri runs the restaurant, and her brother Andrea leads the kitchen. Many of our dishes are little-known outside Italy, and we love introducing them to Naples.

From our guests

“Feels like Italy”

Best Italian restaurant in Naples you can ever go to. Their seafood tastes fresh. Pasta and seafood flavors are unreal. The main server/owner Francesco is a rockstar, they make you feel right at home!
